I Gave an AI Agent the Keys to My Life. Here's What Happened.

I Gave an AI Agent the Keys to My Life. Here's What Happened.

I'm a husband, a dad of two little boys, and I'm building something I can't stop thinking about.

A few weeks ago, I gave an AI agent access to my email, my calendar, and my systems. Not as an experiment — I genuinely needed help. Life was running at full capacity and I was falling behind on things that mattered.

What started as curiosity turned into something I can’t turn off. An agent that doesn't just answer questions — it operates. It runs things in my life every single day. And it keeps getting better.

Who I Am

I'm not an engineer. I'm not a developer. I'm a guy with a day job, a family, and zero spare hours who got curious about what AI agents could actually do — not in a demo, not in a sandbox, but in the mess of real daily life.

That's the gap. Most AI content is either "here's a cool demo" or "here's how a 50-person engineering team should architect this." Nobody was writing for people like me — people who want to build real systems but don't have a CS degree or 8 free hours a day.

So I started building. And then I started writing about it.

What This Blog Is About

Forged Agents is where I document what I'm building — honestly. What works, what breaks, what I learned the hard way at 2am when something stopped working.

This isn't theory. If I'm writing about it, I built it and I'm using it right now.

The goal is simple: practical, battle-tested guides for building AI agents that actually work.

Why "Forged"?

A forge is where raw material meets heat and pressure and becomes something useful.

That's what this is. AI capabilities right now are powerful but raw. Messy. Unpredictable. Prone to breaking in ways you don't expect. The work is in shaping them. Testing them. Putting them through the fire until they're reliable enough to trust with the things that matter.

The "forged" part isn't marketing. It's the process.

The Philosophy

"Plan. Work. Give your best. Then open your hands and let Him do what He does."

I'm a Christian. Faith is central to how I see the world and make decisions. I believe our time is a gift, and stewarding it well is an act of worship.

These tools aren't about doing more. They're about being present — with my wife, my boys, the work God's put in front of me. If technology can buy back even a few hours of presence, it's worth building.

What's Coming

I'll be publishing as I build. New automations, new integrations, new lessons from things breaking. If you're curious about building AI agents that survive real life, stick around.

Let's build something.
